Jennifer Waid has specialized in pediatric occupational therapy since graduating from the University of Florida with a BHS in 1994. She has worked in a variety of settings including a daycare for special needs children, inpatient pediatric psychological care, private practice, and, currently, school-based practice. She also taught in the Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant program at Durham Technical Community College as an adjunct instructor and is regularly requested to teach workshops at area preschools for staff continued education. As the Owner of Play ‘n’ Progress, pllc, Jennifer works with preschool programs to provide in-school developmental enrichment activities and screenings, as well as parent and teacher education. Jennifer specializes in working with students who demonstrate sensory processing differences, visual perceptual delays, oculomotor deficits, and a variety of handwriting challenges.
